Project Overview
Mazmez is a Dubai-based food-tech startup on a mission to bridge the gap between food enthusiasts and restaurants.
Mazmez is dedicated to food enthusiasts. The app offers a list of restaurants nearby along with information on seat availability. Users can use this information to instantly find and book the right place online for their dine-out and parties. The application also helps food lovers to order takeaways and split their bills with ease while partying.
On the other hand for restaurant owners, Mazmez offers a live table tracking system, inventory, and order management for the restaurant owners. Helping them understand the good grip on their business.
Our Role
The client reached out to us for designing their application from the scratch. . Our team began with researching and creating data-driven and conversion-centric user flows and wireframes for the app. Once the app flow was approved by the client we delivered a reliable and consistent prototype for the client.

Requirements
Mobile Application
They wanted to create separate apps for customers and restaurants. The customer app would have features to assist the users in booking tables, ordering food, and making payments. Whereas, the Vendor app would help restaurants in managing their orders, table bookings, and payment processing.
Design
The client wanted easy-to-navigate and intuitive UI/UX designs for both of their applications. The customer app would feature an interactive and clean list of restaurants and cafes nearby the users. The Restaurant app would feature clean and data-driven dashboards for order management and tracking system.
User Research
Research Strategy
We began our user research with the goal of better understanding our clients' needs. We began by investigating the industry and the factors affecting its growth. To do so, our analysts looked into many competitors who were already leading the market. Particularly in the United Arab Emirates, where it is widely utilized.
Following the market research, our team discovered that the target customers were between the ages of 18 and 45. Aside from learning how to use and interpret food applications, this also offered our team a better grasp of the market and added context to the challenge we're working on.

What We Delivered
Customer App
Our team created a user experience that allows users to identify nearby restaurants or cafes and pre-order their favourite cuisine so they don't have to wait for it to be cooked.
Table Management for Customer and Admin
Customers can quickly reserve tables in their preferred cafes thanks to seamless connectivity. Meanwhile, restaurant owners can keep track of all of their table bookings and orders, which will aid in better administration.\
Split Bill for Customer
Users can use the Split Bill function to make dining out with friends and family more convenient. The app would make it easier for parties to split the bill and pay their fair share, making dining out for students and younger consumers a breeze.
Order Management for Admin
With the help of this feature, restaurant managers were able to keep track of order progress because each order was divided into three parts.

Menu Management for Admin
Menu management feature made it easier for restaurant owners to edit their existing menu dishes, and ingredients, add new items and remove unavailable ones with ease. Hence, making the menu management process easy and efficient for users.
Dashboard for Admin
Our team created a dynamic and data-driven dashboard to assist restaurants in keeping a track of their earnings, business growth, and customer behaviour to get in-depth insights about their business.
